No its a type of White German Wine, and yes its sweet, Spatlese is a bit sweeter than the Reisling and Auslese is even sweeter, its not cheap, but not outrageous probably 10-20 a bottle at a store depending on brand and year

No suggestions for downtown, because it's all clubs... But for beer, Flying Saucer in university is pretty nice and has like 200+ choices. Just go during the week because the weekend is all bro'ed out with college.

Wine Vault in university is great in the spring. You buy a bottle inside and they give you glasses and then you sit on the patio and enjoy the weather while drinking it. I usually down a bottle or two of riesling there.

there is some raspberry cider beer drink that i always get at the common market that is super tasty but without knowing the name i recommend it anyways because it is so so tasty.
