Can't you fight it or something and say you had no idea you needed cali insurance? because Im assuming you really didn't know - and someone was waving you on.. so you were actually being a safe driver.. Just wtf, cops suck. thats so much money though - maybe you should become a drug dealer for a week or something. yeah.. maybe. man.. jail would SUCK.
