Dude that's so interesting! I've always wondered how asian baseball compares to that in the states here, and strangely enough I was just talking to someone about it a couple days ago, since he studied abroad in japan (but didn't go to any games).
The only thing that weirds me out a little, aside from the person wearing the donkey suit(?), is the fact that the teams are known by the corporations and not the cities. Are they still based in one particular city?
And the snack choices...wow. Ramen and beer at a baseball game? Sign me up!
The teams here are based out of cities, but they still are known by the corporations. Doing a little reading on the history and teams usually change cities if they are sold to different companies. Also what's odd is that all the pro sports teams owned by a company aren't all in the same city. for example, the baseball team here is owned by Samsung, but the basketball team is not.
If there is more interest, i'll try to do more informative posts like this one. I tried to give enough background info and links.
