Workin' for The (new) Man
So I finally got the California job offer yesterday... and it's pretty damn good. I won't really be making a lot more money, especially when cost of living and having to keep my house here are factored in, but it's a really good opportunity and will get me the fuck out of this shitty town and this shitty job ( Read more... ) -
Recovery
Well, the surgery happened as expected... mom drove me to the surgery center up on the NW side of town and they got me in fairly quickly. Surprisingly I had absolutely no anxiety at all, even the night before. I guess the knowledge that I'd be unconscious until it was all over made it easy. Well, tomorrow's my long-awaited septoplasty/rhinoplasty surgery. Been lookin' forward to this for a long time, mostly cuz I've never been terribly happy with the way my nose has grown since my teen years. RAM me baby...
Got the new sticks of DDR2 1066MHz RAM on Weds... 8GB of memory actually makes a noticable difference in the x64 enviro vs the previous 4GB. No compatibility issues either, which confirmed my suspicion that the board itself is fine. (Tearing out a mobo and shipping it out on RMA would have suuuucked ( Read more... ) -
