When you had transportation like the S.H.A.R.C., it wasn't even a nap-length trip from Milieux to San Angeles, but Ronny, sensing Mack's mood, had decided to take the long way -- and circumnavigate the globe, keeping the speed down to a nice easy Mach 2 for which Mack was silently grateful, or so she took his silence to mean.

For all that he'd acclimated so easily to the hectic life of being an Overdrive Ranger over the past year before he came to Milieux, Mack had gotten used to the peacefulness of his existence here just as quickly. He'd never expected to be cheerfully leaning against the wall of his dorm building, watching Delores graze, but here he was.
