Christmastime ALREADY?!
Seriously, wasn't it just Halloween a minute ago? I think it was... all the jewelry and makeup from my Cleopatra costume is still sitting on my bathroom counter, waiting to be put away!

My Mom's Surgery Went Well!
I just got home from the hospital. She seems to be doing fine; the doctor said they'd ended up doing only a *quadruple* bypass; that fifth one was unnecessary. When I walked in to her room in the cardiac ICU, she was sitting up in a chair/bed thing (whatever those are called), watching TV and eating lunch. Worried For My Mom.
Today's the big day - my mom goes in for quintuple-bypass open-heart surgery. I've known about this for a few weeks, and ever since I found out, I have been worrying about it. Lazy Sunday.
Today feels so crappy. It's noon, and I haven't even taken a shower or anything yet. I went rafting with my friends on the American River yesterday, and I got kinda drunk.
