MOBILE - As always, Sunday of vacation requires me in church in a passive role. So 8am found me at First UMC in Pensacola, where even the minister agreed that "Jesus as the source of division" (Luke 12:49-56) is a challenging idea to consider.

BILOXI - Today shaped up to be a long-haul drive from Little Rock to the Gulf Coast, so we started early - an accomplishment in itself, given Chad - and we arrived in the college town of Oxford before noon ( Read more... ) -

LITTLE ROCK - After a quick tour of Louisiana Tech's athletic facilities and a quick gas-up, it was off to breakfast at the Daylight Donuts of Ruston. Day 8 (3/8): Life on the Rock
To celebrate my return to the office from the Great White North, I stopped off at the Tim Hortons - no apostrophes, since it has to translate into non-apostrophe-using French - in Athens OH for a box of Timbits. (Yeah, there's one in St Albans, but it was a little further off the route to work.) -

REYNOLDSBURG OH - I was hoping for an earlier start this morning, but I hadn’t considered where my rental car was in relation to the rising sun.
