Well, the 21st wasn't *so* bad.  Everybody seemed to think that going to Iowa was a dumb idea when I could have stayed in Indiana and gone out to bars with friends, and I partly agreed.  Turns out though, in Iowa, you can sell alcohol on Sundays (::boggle::)!  Which means that I actually got to go to a winery and taste some really awesome specialty ( Read more... )

I hate that now that it's done, and neither of us has found anyone else, I can't take it back, I can't fix it, I can't help him.  ::sigh::

On a lighter note... I should have a story section up in the next couple of days... yay!

And now, for the requisite Gen Con entry.  Unfortunately, due to my mother's visit, I only got up to Indy for Saturday and Sunday.  Of course, I was there from minute one Saturday until the very close of the exhibit hall on Sunday.

The writer's block I always run into while typing away at a new story, inevitably ending the story far short of its potential, is lifting.  I've found that, by writing with pen and paper, instead of with a computer, I can bring out a story far longer than I can in a Word document.  Why I can't write on a computer, I don't know, but I don't seem to ( Read more... )

United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Club Championships (mouthful, I know), also known as Nationals, are Saturday and Sunday in the HPER building.  If you want to see some fencing this weekend, head on out to the big ol' gym with all the basketball courts sometime Saturday or Sunday, and chances are you'll see some.  We'll be there ( Read more... )
