While I appreciate your opinion (crass as it may be), I would appeal to you to consider *me* in this equation, and not simply yourself.

I don't "want" a Mac, Rob; I want a free fucking computer. My desktop runs for about 10 minutes before it crashes. Let's try thinking about someone else for a change, Robert.

i'm just looking out for you. case-in-point: just today i was at school scanning negatives on a G-5 mac (they're supposed to be the best, right?) At first it'd scan two frames, then crash, scan two, crash, scan two, crash, etc etc. then eventually it would crash before i scanned any at all. if i hadn't saved promptly after every scan, i would have had to throw that wretched machine down the hall, and kick it many times, stopping periodically to curse at it, then go back to the kicking. macintash computers are evil. michael, don't think i'm so shallow, i look out for my fan club, there's underlying messages to my posts. ????
