Welcome to my Hell

A day full of rain and a night of clear skies brought us into the high 20s last night. The pups got to sleep in the garage on a stack of blankets. The thermostat in my hallway was flipped to "heat ( Read more... )

You're a nut job.

And winter was about the only thing I enjoyed when I lived in Kansas.

Of course, I didn't have the passion for rice rockets you possess. But that only solidifies in my mind that you're a nut job.

90 mph wtf

I'm still acclimating to this whole "winter" thing. My first two winters were really rough; I was depressed, lonely, and sitting inside only made me more upset. This winter I have a ton of projects planned to keep myself busy. Hopefully it'll work.

I've forgotten that you've never driven with me. 90mph was always a common cruising speed in my car as well. Even prior to getting into sport bikes (my preferred nomenclature is "land missle" to your "rice rocket").

You stayed inside when there was snow outside?

*boggle*

Build a snowman, or better yet, a snow family. And a snow fort! Can't have a decent snowfight without a snow fort.

P.S. Don't eat the yellow snow.

Well, the past two winters, I haven't had anything more than a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt to keep me warm. Once either of those got wet, I was done and ready to go back inside.

Additionally, we haven't really had much snow. We keep getting light dustings that don't really stick, and then we get hammered with freezing rain. I'm hoping that we get dumped on with some nice snow this year so that I can go sledding. REALLY want to go sledding.

You may be nuts, but at least you can do what you love. Get some better gloves please!!

I definitely need to get some better ones. I'm thinking of ordering some neoprene gloves to go under my current ones. Those would do the trick.

I totally understand your passion and I'm mostly jealous of your bike... but right now I want to go out and kiss my heated seats after reading all of that.

Heated seats? Woman! You guys get freezing rain once a year. And don't you garage your car?

I do garage my car! But I'm notoriously cold-natured. I use those heaters all the freaking time. It's just so comforting. Usually you're being warmed from air blowing on you from the dash, but somehow being warmed from the ass up is just nicer.

I've never sat in a heated seat before. I imagine it would lull me right to sleep.

I would bet money that he's seen the top of 6th gear before. Us motorcyclists lack self-control in a serious way.

So, you want me to pick you up and you can ride on the back? It's going to be in the 50s again tomorrow!

We might look kinda goofy: A 6'5" 235 pounder riding behind a much smaller woman. Braving the cold would be worth the looks we got!
