FINALLY after living in this house for 3-1/2 years with the Contractor El Cheapo stainless sink and faucet without a sprayer (!) last night my hubby installed My New Sink and Touch2O High-rise Faucet With Sprayer.  Pictures will be shared once I find the camera ...  I haven't achieved nirvana, kitchen style, but it is soooooo nice to wash my large ( Read more... )

James has been back to work for 4 days on "light duty," translated as "whatever the heck my boss can find for me to do."  So far he seems to be surviving, even though he's driving about 100 miles a day just to commute.  He has finished therapy for his shoulder, which he'd hurt by being on crutches for 2 weeks after the hip surgery.  The doctor he ( Read more... )

Tuesday afternoon we took our sweet boy Sir Purrcival (aka Muffin/20+ other nicknames) to be put to sleep.  He had had diabetes for a few years, and was visibly getting worse over time.  On Monday afternoon he stopped drinking and eating, and spent about 12 hours straight on our bed.  When we took him to the water bowl, he sniffed but did not drink ( Read more... )

I know I haven't mentioned it, but James had been having left hip pain for over a year, and it was getting steadily worse.  We finally managed to get all the imaging done, which showed a labral tear and some degenerative changes in the bone.  So he had arthroscopic surgery last Thursday.  The a lot of fraying and tearing of the labrum on the photos ( Read more... )

Rianne has the Magic Microphone (which I bought before realizing what a Bad Idea that was).  She's singing "Twinkle, Twinkle".  The words and tune are shaky, but she's getting there.  She also loves the ABC song and a couple others.  It's darn cute, is all I'm saying.

So I worked a while this morning, and then I had no "work" to do ("work" = transcription).  So today was therefore deemed a "run-around-like-a-lunatic-and-do-errands" day. And, by golly, I am almost finished!!  I still have a couple stops to make, but those were not as time-defined as the others, i.e., WallyWorld does not close at 4:30 p.m.  With ( Read more... )
