My favorite professor and mentor from college once told me that he really enjoys the transitory nature of theatre as an art form. The idea that you can put something up that is beautiful and enjoyable, but that it will eventually be gone and will never be back in quite the same way. If you're interested, and have yet to hear it, I'd be happy to let you borrow Mann's Lost in Space.

Also, "Praying for Time" off of Listen Without Prejudice is a great one.

Aimee Mann is great. I don't know much other than Bachelor No. 2 and the Magnolia Soundtrack, but I do love everything I hear. Her voice is incredible--not for range, but for the way she uses it...if that makes any sense.

Yeah, it's funny, it took me a while to get used to her voice. It sort of weirded me out at first, and then suddenly I totally loved her. Weird how that can happen.
