Getting ready for a great month!

Oct 20, 2005 01:57

For those who don't know, November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and I'll be writing a supernatural mystery for it. Merely wished to say, I cannot wait to start writing either. :D This is my first year doing NaNoWriMo, so I'm very nervous and excited and have no real idea of what to expect.

Weee. :D I'm also very excited about reading other stories, what fun.

I did it last year, and yes, reading the other stories is great! So many creative people!

Not sure what to tell you about what to expect: for me it wasn't at all the way it's described. It was actually somewhat mellow. But I didn't get through it, because I suddenly realized that yes, my students did deserve to get their papers *FROM SEPTEMBER ONWARD* back. So, the last two weeks of November, aside from Thanksgiving, were spent insanely grading. Now *that* was harrowing.

This year, no grading, so it should be more fun and I might actually succeed!

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to add you to my flist unless I know who you are first. My journal's flocked for a reason.

Okay. No problem. I just want to make sure people can read what I write. As I said in my friends list policy (the most recent entry), I probably won't be able to read everyone else anyway. So, no need to apologize - it actually makes my life a little easier :)

And - good luck on the novel.
