As usual, I'm once again doing the Avon Walk. I'll be crewing this year as my knees are sufficiently lousy that walking it no longer sounds like a good idea.

When opening ceremonies are over, at least one person, probably more, will be wearing a large pink ribbon. One will be handed out every 3 minutes for the remainder of the walk. Men, women, at night, during the day, those ribbons will be handed out. By the end of the walk, about a third of the people will be wearing them. They represent the people ( Read more... )
