You do realize that Alaskan crab fishing is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.

woo! i loved alaska when i went there, but it is very very different from the lower 48. it is much more down home and there is a LOT of poverty there. also, they have the lowest per capita expenditures on education. it is a noble thing you would be doing.

yeah, that's kind of my reasoning for going. Even though-the starting salaries are actully above average, but considering there are only 500 schools in the state, maybe they can afford to pay their teachers decently well.

Wow, that's really cool (no pun intended) to hear, Allie. Aren't the taxes really low (nonexistant?) there as well?

Anywho, I'd have loved to see that conversation between Matt and you where you're just like "honey, you can go fish for crabs or something." Hehe!

Yeah, taxes aren't that bad. The only downer is food is very expensive....oh and the couple days of the year where there isn't any sun, or any night. But I think it'll be a blast!

Yeah. Matt decided he'll do something else besides fishing for crabs. :) I'm just glad he is so supportive.
