I went down to Chicago as planned with Matt on saturday. We had a blast hanging out and I am glad i got to see the girls.

I am headed down to Chicago in the morning with Matt to visit some friends. Rachel and Adam have lovingly invited us for the weekend and for their bbq.

The best part is, no one there knows anyone I am friends with here. They are a separate people, my own people. How I met them and how I know them I will leave to your own imagination.

Well, nothing much is going on in the Goedtel household....We celebrated mine and Torrie's birthdays last night with the grandmothers. I got a set of watercolors from Carolin (Dave's gf), which was just an amazing gift. I painted a little tonight and i really like one of the pictures. I feel like I should call this, my summer of change. So many things are shifting on me....how can I compete with it all?

For starters, there is a high possibility my dog will not live to the end of the summer. She has cancer. She's dying. How am I going to cope with that?

My grandma's cancer is full force.

I am a bookaholic. It is impossible for me to go into barnes and noble and NOT buy anything. I think since being hoem from school I have bought about 25 books....eek.

At least i read them. And I am building an impressive library. And I am expanding what i read....
