He watched the exchange of words between the old woman and Greg with a small smile on his face. Even if the woman clearly disliked him, it made him wish he had a neighbor who would check in with him and make him casseroles.
Nick followed Greg into the apartment when he finally got it open, and closed the door behind him.
He could tell he was glad to be back when he turned and smiled at him.
"Who says i'm not?" Nick answered with a grin.

Greg's smile widened, transforming itself into his trademark smirk, a facial expression he hadn't had much use of during the past almost two weeks.

He took a few steps toward Nick and stopped about a foot from him, arms crossed. "Then you're free to leave, Stokes. Go. I release you from my service."

"No, I think i'll stay here for awhile." He walked past Greg, plopping down onto his couch. "Eat all of your food, take over the couch, your T.V." He smiled sweetly at him, stretching out, taking up as much space on the couch as possible.

"Well, to show my gratitude, you're welcome to anything in my fridge, but I draw the line at watching General Hospital. You'll have to go over to Mrs. Leeds' across the way if you want to do that." He grinned devilishly, walking over to the couch as well and promptly sitting down, with all the weight he could muster, on Nick's thighs.

He put his arms behind him to hold his balance, and his hands sunk deep into his couch, and all of a sudden the smile vanished from his face. Frowning a bit, he pulled out one of his hands, and pinched between his index finger and his thumb was a lonely little white pill of Vicodin.
