E and I were perusing the fruit section of our local ralphs at a quarter past six this morning when a crack head looked over at us and yelled-- very sincerely-- "ya'll look dope as fuck together"

i mean, i've always thought so, but the validation from a stranger was nice

i get asked often i pursued law school and want to become a lawyer. although it's common to have colleagues noble motivations

(1) I want to stay relevant.
(2) I want people to take me seriously/I need to quantify my time.

i am at a very weird position in my life where things are really falling into place.

we got into a spat last night. he stormed out of the restaurant and opted to walk home. and i let him.

i think the most healthy way to approach any relationship is being whole without the person. being able to say to yourself, "if i walked away from this today, or if he/she walked away from this today, i would be fine."
