saw a teeny red dot bug on my windshield and thought of playing War on the porch and you never letting me win. the world is bigger and lonelier now. less kind and less safe.

it's been a bittersweet year, and if anything, I've learned not to hope for better times, but to appreciate it when they come.

I don't have your cellular phone numerical accessing digits any longer; HOWEVER, I do recall posting a message (two years ago) saying that we should grab a drink together.

sooooooo, we should still do that! I'm at Harvard's (drinking) often enough that I should have run into you incidentally but I haven't; thus, I am resorting to far more indirect methods.
