Do it, one of the best decisions I ever made.

If you have any questions I would be glad to answer them.

I've heard that alot from people and I would love to have an experience like that. What career are you doing? And how tough is it? Also, what are the basic things you go through?

Thanks so much for trying to help answer some questions for me.

It is a really good experience.
My career is a Master at Arms, it is like police work kind of.
And the rate you choose all depends on what you get on your ASVABs.
Boot Camp is not bad at all, like the first two weeks are kind of rough because it is such a huge change, but after that its all what you make it. Umm there is a lot of book work and studying you do in boot and then there is also PT and such. Your basic requirements for that is depending on your age, but I am gonna say for you its like 60 sit ups, 25 puch ups and a mile and a half run in 14:15. Its pretty easy. And after you graduate boot camp you go on to your A school for whichever rate you chose.

I love it. I love my job. I have met a lot of amazing people. It is so diversified. Initially it will be hard leaving your family and friends and you will always miss them. But I can guarantee you will make amazing new friends and they will become your family. I don't know where I would be right now without them and the Navy.

If you have any other questions just let me know.

Thank you, I really appreciate you answering my questions. It reassures me that this is something I'd really like to experience. As of now, I'm still trying to put my future together and I know the Navy will help me. Both of my parents were airplane mechanics in the service and definetly opened doors for them. But again, thank you for helping me out.

No problem.
I think it is a really good path to take. Even if it is not what you decide to do as a career you could get out in 4 years and the have the GI bill and go to a university and they pay for your housing.
I was severly misguided before I joined, I am not saying I don't still make mistakes cause I do, but it has helped me grow a lot.
But just do what you think is best for you.
