So a man can sleep with other women because by his very nature he will always have sexual desires even if he has a great sex life with the one he is committed to and loves. But a woman cannot have sex with another man while in a committed relationship because she has sex not only to satiate physical desires, but mental ones as well. It is not ( Read more... )

there's nothing to be understood.

you're being fed bullshit by a controlling manipulator.

let the many women over in polyamory have a run at him, or his statements.

i would suggest you not be with this person.

I'm more interested in who in the hell said it's okay for a guy in a committed relationship to sleep around.

Hi lover, I'm going to just throw all my thoughts in here. I respect that you've been having this dialogue about the male vs. the female. I think it is important as a way of understanding how two people can balance each other and work together in a symbiotic way. I think what you wrote here is radicalized in a way that is only in his best interest, not both of yours. Reducing a woman to a body that is directed by male energy and doesn't have its own is just rhetoric designed to strip you of your agency ( ... )

As I'd commented in polyamory, Deida's view is without creidibility; he's inventing justifications for his own insecurities. Men and women share almost all of their genetics; we are the same species, and of a species remarkable for its *lack* of sexual dimorphism. Anything a man can do, a woman can do, except sire children; anything a woman can do, a man can do -- except bear them. Those are the defining differences, and anything beyond that is a statistical tendency, not a fundamental difference.

best,

Joel
