Books, books, chocolate and books.

I am going to get some serious reading done this week.

Here is my list of possibilities..

- Ulysses. (Is it humanly possible to read this in one week and still have time to do other things?) No. Tooooooo long and heavy for my holiday state of mind.
- The Sound and the Fury. This one will wait till later too.
- Rebecca.
- The New York Trilogy.

Yay for productivity. :) Excellent choice of reading material.

- 100 Years of Solitude.

Oh my, aren't we brave! Even the English version is heavy stuff. I tried reading this in the original Spanish and for the life of me, it's tough going, I have to have a dictionary by my side or I'd be lost.

Geez, how big is a Vitamin E pill? Have you tried Omega 3 oil? It's purple, huge, if you can do that, you can do VE. :)

ve looks (to me) like a big amber maggot. scares the CRAP out of me.

and i dont do pills. the size of a calcium pill is all i can handle.

but i bow down to you if you can tackle the elephant that is Om3 Oil.

One Hundred Years of Solitude sounds so interesting. I read part of it in Spanish, and the storyline was really unique.

Otherwise, Fahrenheit 451 is always a great read. Not too difficult either.

Eep. I'm so slow at replying (as usual).

Finished Vonnegut. It was OK. Reminded me a bit of Tom Robbins and although I see the value of their work, I'm not a huge fan. On to Rebecca now. It's great, if a little serious. But a definite page turner.

I also bought 100 Years of Solitude and The Leopard, so they will be next :-)

I adore you. I'm a bookworm, too. I just finished reading "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "Shantaram".

Who is the author of Rebecca?

I love Shantaram! That's one of my all time faves. Did you read them at the same time?

Daphne Du Maurier wrote Rebecca. It's kind of like a darker, more serious Jane Eyre.

I read them back-to-back. I'm fixated on all things eastern right now.

Rebecca sounds like something I'd enjoy. I'll have to check it out.
