So I haven't bothered updating in quite some time on here. Last time I wrote was February 18th, when I was just sick with some bad cold/virus. I checked & checked over & over again, & it wasn't covid, but I never really did quite bounce back from that properly.

It's 5:09 pm. I can still see a touch of sunlight hitting the tops of the trees across the street. My room isn't totally dark yet.

The days are getting longer. It's wonderful. We're also less than a month away from daylight savings time beginning, for what's supposed to be for the final time as it becomes the standard time. If the clocks had changed ( Read more... )

Somehow it's already February 12th! The days are already starting to get noticeably brighter around 5. It's not pitch black anymore, although it does get dark pretty quick soon after. It's 4:40 pm. The sun is setting, probably has set by now. It's overcast, so all I can see is a hint of red in the distance where I've been seeing a hint of light this afternoon.

Sometimes my brain forgets that certain people are gone. I see something that reminds me of someone, & I catch myself thinking, "Oh, I should tell so & so about this." Then I remember, they're gone.

Well, the weather is wonky all over the place right now. The midwest & parts of Canada are getting temperatures so cold, it's looking like The Day After Tomorrow in people's homes with frost building up INSIDE. Florida's even cold. Well, today was the day. It's the first time it's snowed, at least here anyway. I saw a few flurries before, but today is the first time I've seen more than a few stray flakes. In fact, the first snowplow of the season just came by just a few moments ago. Boo.
