OK well I guess I'll write up a bit of a trip diary, as best as I can remember things. For those of you who enjoy it when that vein in my head comes close to exploding, lots of stuff went wrong, so there's lots of ranty goodness on the way.....

Your mum sounds just like my dad when I bought the English boy home to Australia to meet them.

In his nervousness he managed to tell him he thought he looked bloody awful in the photo I had sent them of him.
The fact that Colin had big image issues (hell - what goth doesn't) and had a bit of an inferiority complex didn't start the two week adventure off too well...specially as dad put his foot in his mouth within 10mins of us arriving home.

There aren't many digital photos of that leg of the trip unfortunately....but there are billions from Dublin, Berlin and London.

Good stuff! I have a gazillion photos but it's taking me forever to upload and fiddle with them. Not to mention where the hell I was each time! :)
