Property impatience....

Jan 21, 2008 15:45

Damnit, why do I even look at the property sites when I know I'm not ready to buy yet.

2 bed unit, in a building I really like with a car space, balcony, gym & pool. Price guide $290-320k

Sigh.

But it's AWESOME...When I'm a rich rockstar, or heroin camel or whatver, I'm a have one of those as well as a country hideout for when the zombies come. Ignore the interest rates, Gerry, I say BUY NOW and CONSIDER A LIVE IN BUTLER...*hint*

You should see the building. Stainless Steel foyer, extremely dark corridors dotted with conical shafts of light. It's like a scene from the X-Files :P

There will always be better and cooler apartments. Just be patient.

Agrees with Ms Salacious Kitt'n :-) the lounge room looks tiny!

I've been in one of them before, it's not huge but it's adequate. The kitchinette is pretty sweet and the bedrooms are of a reasonable size (again not huge).
I just really like this building, and if it went for $290 it'xd be a steal :P

I probably could buy, but it's a lot more hassle and potentially more expensive. On the flip side if you can get a property like this 10-20k cheaper than 'normal' you could potentially save 50-100k in interest payments over 30 years :/

I feel you, though regaurding an entirely different type of property. It's been on the market over a year and they haven't lowered the price an inch. I'm biding my time, and quietly hoping they die so it becomes and estate auction and the price moves into the realms of sanity. Sigh. Damned temptations.

That's a pretty cool place. Not exactly my cup of tea, $420 doesn't seem too bad for what you're getting there though...
