It's an awful feeling when you feel like you have no one you and really talk to, especially when you really need an ear. Yeah, you've got plenty of friends that will listen to you and hear you out, but those are the same people who will turn around and tell their friend, or will have a biased opinion, or will only tell you what they think you want ( Read more... )

I think a lot, if not most, of amateur musicians have the wrong ideas and motivation for writing music. They believe that they write it solely for their fans, if that even; it could be just for popularity or just to be in a band and be on stage. The Da Vinci Code movie was somewhat of a disappointment after having read the book. Those who haven't read the book, however, would still like it because they aren't sure what to expect.
