Okay I am actually stumped as to a course of action on something very important.  Here's the skinny of my situation

Keep the cat. While I completely understand the whole giving-away-a-cat-and-wanting-it-back thing (I had to give Ranger to my aunt when DX sold the house), I would never presume to just whisk him away to live with me after 4 years of living at the farm. It's pretty self-centered, if you ask me. I mean, if she had asked nicely, then I'd consider it; but to say, "I'm coming to get my cat", like it still is her cat (which it's not), is poppycock.

you know, as a cat lover I almost feel sorry for her. But she could have asked for the cat rather than being a raving bitch about it. I know that's her natural state, but that's not really an excuse.

You should keep the cat.
