This is honestly one of the best things I've read in this fandom. Heartbreaking and beautiful don't even come close to descibing it. I love the attention to details and the colours throughout. Kudos.

This is going in my memories faster than Jack turning a sentence dirty.

This utter brilliance. Completely devastatingly, hauntingly, sad brilliance. I can't take it as complete canon, because like one poster mentioned above, I can bare to think of poor Ianto not dying in his sleep when he's 93.

However, saying that, the family history you have created for him is fantastic. That history gives even more insight into Ianto's devotion to Torchwood in the show. It even makes it a little more sad as well. Having such devotion and loyalty to an organization that not only took away his parents, but for all intents and purposes, will take his as well. Ah! And the fact that Jack killed himself to say goodbye. Nearly cried. I've never read that happening before, and now it just makes perfect sense.

Haha, this made me laugh so hard. :D

And thank you for your compliments! In regards to Ianto's history: I just could not leave it alone since the show doesn't fill in that gap. I almost like that they don't because I've read so many different stories that try to capture those early years. That way it's more fun to pick and pull out pieces from twenty different stories to create the 'ideal' history. Though, I do wish we knew more. D:

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading!

PS, I just noticed your mention of Lamb's 'Gorecki,' which is just such a brilliant song, and such a great group. Have you heard any of their other stuff? I highly recommend.

I actually haven't heard anything from them before. There's a roundabout way I heard the song.

They used it in the movie Moulin Rouge as one of the musical numbers, so I had only heard that version of it, and they used it again at the end of They Keep Killing Suzie. That's when I first heard the original, and I thought, 'Huh, that sounds really, really familiar.'

SO. If you have any suggestions for other songs I should check out, I'd love that!
