i thought the job market was bad last year.

i'm pretty much fucked. at least i've found a night steam grate in the district i can live on. it's pretty central, convenient to shopping, nightlife, and transportation.

ok, what other careers do you think i could do? i've pretty much epic failed at this one.

You haven't failed.

As to what you could do, there's always money in tent revivals.

I can't offer much in the way of advice, only solidarity - I've been feeling exactly the same way this month. I've also got writers' block and have missed the deadline for an article I was supposed to be submitting to an edited book. I'm self-sabotaging in a career where you can very easily fail without that.

Yeah, we've got to stick together since academia treats us like slave-labour!

Hmm. Well, here's a fail-proof game plan for you:

Step 1: Marry Amy Sedaris
Step 2: Team up with your new wife and Samuel L. Jackson to take over Microsoft in a carefully planned coup, using pilfered 4-year-olds as (literally) live ammunition.
Step 3: ??????
Step 4: Profit!
