One time me and some friends were trying to decide that if we were a vegetable, which vegetable would we be.

I don't remember my original answer, but the important part is my answer has changed.

Now, I would be an artichoke.

And it all became incredibly clear to me after popping a dayquil and watching the snow fall for awhile.

So many things make me want to cry today, but for reasons of joy and gratitude.

Notably, I truly believe my friend has been provided with a new opportunity to truly live his life and he is enjoying every minute of it. Thanks, world.
