Been spending the week cleaning up the Hyperion and unpacking everything. Almost as dusty in here as it was when we moved in. Kinda weird, considering everything is just like it was before we left. Musty-ed up again, but leaving the windows open helps with that. Dennis apparently raided W&H, so we have reference books, computers, office ( Read more... )

I would like to keep working with you, Angel, if you'll have me. I appreciate the outlet to use my abilities to help the unfortunate.

Be happy to have you around, Turner. After all, we do sort of owe you one for trying that case and getting us here. Plus, you do that nifty fireball thing.

The one thing . . . well, Angel Investigations has never been what you'd call awash in cash. I know what you were earning at Wolfram & Hart and there's no way we'd be able to match that. Heh. To be honest, you were making in a month most of what we made in a year around here. You're looking at quite a pay cut if you stick around here. I just wanted you to know that upfront.

I understand that, and it's not unexpected. I'm not in this for the money. I just want a way to help people. Redemption for an evil past...I'm sure you understand that.

Far too well.

How soon would you like to start? We could use you immediately. Well, as soon as we get some cases.

I can see no other group of people I'd rather work with more, Angel. If you'll have me, I'd like to stay.

Certainly, Morrigan. Got to warn you of the same thing I warned Turner about: we're happy for the help, but we don't make enough money to pay very much. Other than that, welcome to the team. We'll find something for you to do. We always do.

Money's not that big of an issue, honestly. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I'm independently wealthy. But, I wouldn't be scared away by a cut in pay. And honestly? If I don't need it, I wouldn't take it. Whatever I can do, I will.

And, I'm pretty flexible. Formerly evil, I've had to fit in to many different situations. I can pick up anything once you give me an idea of what I'm doing.

Thanks, Angel. Really.

You're welcome, Morrigan. It'll be good to have you on the team, really. I know from working with you at Wolfram & Hart that you'll do whatever it takes to help out.

"Annoying evil representative"?

That would be me? The guy you had murdered? By a flunky? After he helped you?

Believe me Angel, I'm sure this situation bothers me a hell of a lot more than it bothers you. The least you could do is try to make this run smoothly seeing as how you had me killed and all.

McDonald? Lindsey? You're the new liaison? Huh. Don't let it be said that the Senior Partners don't have a sense of humor. A twisted, wrong one, but still a sense of humor.

So this is their way of sticking it to me for standing up to them. I'm stuck with you forever now. Of all the -- I can't believe it. Someone tell me the contract allows me to petition for a new liaison.

I don't have time right now to get into it with you over why you're a dead man walking right now, McDonald. Let's just say I had my reasons, and to me they're very good ones.

So it's ok to hire mass-murdering vampires, and it's ok for you to be a mass-murdering vampire, but I never got a damn chance? Right then.

Yeah, really good reasons. I'm sure. Ones like "I don't like your hair?" "You had a thing for Darla?" "You're shorter than me?" What?
How about "You helped me on more than one occasion and every time I threw it back in your face?" Oh yeah. Great reasons. Enlighten me, SoulBoy.

First, I didn't hire Spike, if that's who you're talking about. He got dumped on me by the Senior Partners. At least then he was a ghost and couldn't really do anything. And then someone had the bright idea to make him corporeal, and he just sort of stuck around. Gosh, Lindsey, you wouldn't happen to know whose idea that was, would you ( ... )

Nina's due back in Tuesday. Wasn't sure how long this fight was going to last, so I made sure she was out of town for a while. Her flight's getting in after dark, so I can go to the airport and meet her. Hope she's still willing to see me. I don't think she understood that I sent her away for her own good.

You better show up with like a dozen roses and be prepared to grovel. It didn't look like she was too happy with you when you last saw each other. I'm just sayin'...
