w/o vanilla

has anyone made cheesecake with out vanilla?
and when making vanilla cheesecake, do you use vanilla EXTRACT?

I always use pure vanilla extract when making delicious cheesecake

Forgot the vanilla once.
Didn't make a huge difference, but it tasted a hint more tart and less sweet.
New York style-like, thus the tartness.
Would imagine without sourcream it would just lose that hint of vanilla.
And we use extract, because the good stuff costs more.

I never use vanilla when i make cheesecake...just icing sugar, cream cheese, and um er...whipped cream ..*YUM*
