Yesterday was not a very good day. I was 45 minutes late to work because I missed my alarms and overslept. Woke up at 10:58 when I was supposed to be there at 11. An update on my life since people tell me they don't hear from me enough:

January was interesting.
February was incredibly nice.
March was shit shit shit.
And in April, I'm putting everything back together again.

So a woman came into where I work yesterday and ordered a salad. She wanted a piece of chicken breast sliced and warmed up on top of it. This is no problem, I slice up 3oz of chicken and stick in in the microwave, but when Don pulls it out he tells me she wanted 6oz of chicken on the salad. It appears I will remain in Columbus for the foreseeable future. Chicago is out for at least a year because of a mountain of financial issues.

For the moment, though, I feel pretty ok about Columbus.

So.. Do we all go out and celebrate on New Year's Eve because no one has to work the next day and we can all stay out late? Or is everything closed on January 1st because everyone is too hungover to leave their couches all day?

Last night I fell asleep pretty early listening to NPR. I half woke up and kept hearing someone say the time, and finally woke up all the way when they kept saying it was after 8am. I was really confused for a few minutes when it was still way too dark for 8 in the morning.

1.Read 50 books I did not come close to accomplishing this. I read way too slowly and did not use my time efficiently enough. I remember spending days at a time watching CNN when I had cable or otherwise wasting time when I could have been reading.
