I'm going with the second theory, especially as when Is aw "dead" Rose on the beach I kind of put two and two together and said "Maybe she's dead inside cos she's no longer with Teh Love of her Life" x[

I think RTD has something really special in store for Rose's "death." A couple friends and myself like to think this may just be a "figurative" death between her and the Doctor. Like, what was that whole beginning scene on the beach about?

I think you're right about that scan from the Radio Times. Rose looks like she has tears in her eyes and the Doctor looks a bit shell-shocked or just... blank. (I like to think she just took his specs of as well, hee!)

I'm really curious to see what happens. I'm with you - I just hope this "death" is better than those three options you listed. Too boring and I think RTD will not disappoint.

I saw that scene and it put a few theories in my head actually, one of which [and the one I'd love to see happen] was that the Doctor begs the Cybes for time alone with Rose to almost say goodbye cos he knows this is it.
Anyway, he starts talking to her and she takes off his glasses, which would just be so cute, and also explain why she has them xD

Unless, she just has the glasses because he was showing her what can be seen through them. But that'd be boring, heehee xD

U can't see the theory working very well though, because the Cybes and Daleks are emotion-less they wouldn't let them do that, so maybe it's a case of "Here's s place we can meet, be there" <3

Have heard somethign that saddens me on a Radio 1 trailer too, the Doctor says to Rose "Go on, you have to do it" or something like that, and the next you here him say is "No..." Really quite coldly, and emotional, but not, if you get what I mean. Which sent me into mad panic before work yesterday!

Good theories! She could indeed mean that she's "died" cos she's not with the doctor anymore. That could explain how she's alive to tell the story. And it would be more "spectacular" than being deleted/upgraded/exterminated which happens to most random characters.

And the picture... does look like we might get a shippy goodbye.. *crosses fingers*
