Hey! so what is going on with the Texas thing, you want to come here? That would be so wonderful! Austin is so much fun. There are TONS of cheap places. You could definitely find a one bedroom loft apartment or efficiency for around $400-$500...or you can always rent a room out of a house somewhere for much less than that! Compared to CA, Austin is SO much cheaper when it coems to housing. If you really want to come out here, I can always try and help you find a place!!

im not sure what the plan is just yet, but my lease in davis is up at the end of august, and i need to start considering my options and planning for what'll happen after the summer. i know i dont want to stay in california though...and i loved TX when i went to visit last august.

Well, if you liked Dallas (blech!) you will DEFINITELY like Austin! It is so much greener, tons of hills, the city is AWESOME, and everything is a lot less suburbanized!
