Motoring away.... the work on the house is still ongoing. After the bathroom finally 'gave the ghost' and died. It was expected, and perfect timing as far as the arrival of my dad was concerned, whom instantly started working on all the preparations we had made. House feels like a money-pit at the moment, but I'm sure it'll get there in the end ( Read more... )

Finished this wee one today. Such a beautiful bird, and what a rare find indeed! A hiker found it here in N.Ireland on one of his trips. At first he thought his mind has tricked him into thinking it was just a bunch of leaves, but he quickly backtracked and realized it was a snow bunting.

Well, tomorrow is the big day... the BallyWalter Game fair. During the coming two days I'll be doing my taxidermy trade and hoping to educate people a wee bit on wildlife, their preservation and the art of taxidermy, hopefully taking some prejudice away at the same time.

The weather in Northern Ireland has become almost surreal; it's warm, the sun it beating down as if it was summer and the clouds are something Bob Ross would be proud to call 'happy'.
