Donovan is off at school. I've finished reading Stranger in a Strange Land. I mostly enjoyed it and it made me think--I had to read it slowly so I could think about it. Years ago I'd never read a thinking-book, only plot-driven action books. I'm glad I can read all kinds of books now. I mean, sure, it's a science fiction book but it posed a lot of ( Read more... )

I dunno a million questions. About god and about people and relationships and men and women. I'd have to read it again to remember them all.

I loved the golden compass (although it's called the Northern Lights here) the whole trilogy is brilliant and they get better as you go!

This is great to hear! I've heard only good things about it and I really really love the book so far so I'm exciting to see how they get better! I have seen The Golden Compass movie so I know a bit of the plot of this one, and while it's not ruining it for me I'm looking forward to the others where I'll have no idea what to expect.
