Extremely bad taste

I do not understand the fascination with 'body art'. There is nothing artistic about it at all. It is the permanent disfigurement of the body. It is said to be a terribly painful process and the results will stay with your forever. We are not meant to be marked like cattle ( Read more... )

Isn't it funny how the one cow I can think of is so against being marked? Seriously, if she strays from the pen... she could be lost forever. Wait, I rather like the sound of that.

If this was meant to be an insult, you need to work on it more.

Who said it was meant to be an insult?

Even if it was... you couldn't do any better.

I wouldn't go out of my way insulting people. I am above that sort of behavior.

Excuse me Miss Umbridge, I don't think the way someone chooses to treat their body is of no concern to you. I don't see the problem with tattoos unless they depict something offensive or are particualrly dangerous to have. I don't think that the mere choice of skin decoration detrementally effects a person's personality like you claim.

((If you didn't know, it's common knowladge that Delame has a tattoo))

I didn't mean any personal attacks on you, sir. I was merely pondering the issue and making an opinion. I have no doubt that tattoos don't affect people's personality, however it reflects badly on them.

I doubt it refects badly on their personality either. I mean I wouldn't think any less of someone with a tattoo, unless, as I said it depicted something offensive. I don't think it's fair to judge someones personality on a mere pattern of ink. People often get tattoos which are very meaningful to them and would be offended if you judged them simply because they had a tattoo without considering why they had it. I would include myself in that as well, and I hope you wouldn't judge my character because I have a tattoo.

I would rather not. I do not debase myself like all the rest of you monkeys do.

It might loosen you up a bit, Merlin knows you fucking need it.

You know, if you were looking for someone to pull that stick out of your ass, I'd be more than happy to oblige.

You're disgusting! I wouldn't even touch you with a ten-foot pole, Lestrange. Go back to harassing Ravenclaws, or whatever it is you actually do.

I agree with Delame. What a person does to their own body is their own choice. A number of tattoos do hold a good deal of meaning for the people sporting them--I know that mine do. Besides that, you seem to assume that all people with tattoos have them in highly visible areas, which is very rarely the case.

You have tattoos as well, Severus? I would never have expected it of you. You always seemed to reserved...

What does reserved have to do with it?

But, I guess, that it just goes to show you that character has nothing to do with it.
