Last night John and I went to the Alabama Theatre to see Casablanca. That is a really cool old theater! I would highly recommend everyone go see a movie there. The screen isn't as big as a regular movie theater and the sound isn't absolutely stunning, but they show old movies that you would never get to see on the big screen otherwise. Plus

I went to see Carmen there once. That's right, the OPERA! It was so freakin' awesome. I actually gasped out loud at the end b/c I'm probably the only person that didn't read the storyline in the program. That is a cool theatre. I need to find someplace cool like that here...

What happens at the end? Does she die? What is Carmen even about? I have no idea... I remember my parents taking me to the opera in Huntsville and being very confused. Cause they had the translation of what they were saying projected on a screen above the stage, so trying to watch the action, listen to the music, and read the screen was difficult.
