i'm very picky about red wines, as i don't like anything too tannic or acidic, and most reds make me flush and feel way too hot for some reason. but michael picked up a petite sirah by bogle today, and it's the most delicious red i've ever had! it's incredibly smooth, full, and juicy. in the past i've shied away from sirah's because they tend to ( Read more... ) -

I definitely was... when Michael came to Auburn a day early and proposed! We'll have a long engagement... at least two years. ( without further ado.. ) -
p.s.
it's effing hot outside. i hate to sweat. i live about half a mile away from class. when i wake up (at 7) i'm usually sticky from sweating at night (i have an ac unit but it's on the fritz so i don't use it) and when i leave at 7:30, the sun's been beating on my door since it woke up and by the time i've locked my door the first drops of sweat ( Read more... ) -
Food!
Michael and I found some cheap copies of the Moosewood restaurant's first cookbook and proceeded to make two recipes: Curried Squash Mushroom Soup and a Maple Apple Custard Pie. In addition we had rack of lamb, roasted asparagus, and spicy mashed potatoes. The soup wasn't interesting to photograph, but it tasted pretty good. Didn't go with the ( Read more... ) -

my car battery just died. now i get to wait for AAA to come tow it and to get a new battery. and hope that all that is wrong is the battery. here's to it at least being fixed by 6.
