I've had this shoved down my throat for several years. I don't think Peta are the people to talk to about this. They're somewhat sexist. They've had calendars promoting Peta that you probably couldn't tell aapart from a Sports Illustrated or Palyboy calendar. I'm not a femenist and I'm not a vegetarian. Peta's way of going about getting people to stop eating meat and dairy is absurd. They get a street team together and harrass people. It's like the Christians that preach outside of my school about gay bashing and how I'm going to hell if I choose to get an abortion and display blown up images of an aborted fetus. They're obnoxious. If you want people to listen to you, don't shout at them with bullhorns in front of KFC and Burger King with pictures of abused animals. People are informed of this, people want meat and genrally there's nothing you're going to do to stop this.

P.S. I might take this more seriously without the spelling mistakes.

I agree that some of peta's tactics of awareness are a little silly, but they do get people attention even if it's for just a second. I do use PETA's videos and leaflets a lot to imform people myself. Cruelty is wrong nomatter what the situation is or what you're talking about. How someone can do the things they do to these animals when they can't fight back or say anything is just vile and heartless.
I couldn't agree more with you though. Meat is murder. It makes me sick to hear people talk about how good the stake they had lastnight was or how good this restarunt's meat platters are. If it's not acceptable to eat people then it shouldn't be acceptable to eat animals. What's the difference between an Animal and a Person? Nothing really, other than intellegence. We should treat animals as our equals.
