I always feel somewhat ashamed when I see an item of clothing I like on a "celebrity" and then I go out and find it and buy it. Well not really ashamed but just somewhat like I'm buying into and supporting a system that maybe I should have some regret over. But none the less this did not stop me from hounding the internet in a quest to find out ( Read more... )

That site is amazing and I know of a few friends and family who will be receiving unique book themed gifts for Christmas this year.

As for a book cover I would love to have on a t-shirt, I would love to have any of the original Nance Drew book covers or even the covers from the Dana Girls series. Ah, memories.

They do have the one Nancy Drew cover available but it isn't my favorite and only comes in the girl cut. I prefer the male t-shirt cut myself. I was looking at original Nancy Drew covers the other day to see if there is one I like better.

I think a lot of the items would make for cute gifts. I like that they have those ereader covers. They almost make me want to buy an ereader!

I have the iPad on my wish list. I do have an ereader and may have to get one of the covers for myself. There is so much opportunity on the site.

Sadly, I don't remember many of the covers of books I read when I was a child or even a teen. I may have to start looking up books online to see if there are any older covers I would really enjoy.

Ah it helps when you still have the editions you read as a child in your possession. But another good way to glance at bookcovers is on goodreads since they often have many of the editions pictured. I refound a few older covers that way.

Did you read Flowers in the Attic as a teen? What with it becoming all trendy again they should do a t-shirt for that...ROTF! You could have the cover as it appeared on the front and the step back cover on the back!

Actually I am now inspired to make a FITA t-shirt. It would say something like "Don't worry about today's teenage girls reading Twilight...I read Flowers in the Attic as a teenager and I didn't end up sleeping with my brother." LOL!

I like the artwork/graphic design on many of them, but having the book title just kinda throws me. I generally only like text on the backs of shirts.

I'm sort of the opposite. Most of the time when I design my own shirts, I'll put text on the front and image on the back.

I think in a few instances the title on the front of those shirts looks a little bit much. But as they are actual covers of books I guess I understand why they did it that way.

Those are adorable!

In fact, I have the Pride and Prejudice tee in purple (althought I got mine via Modcloth)!

Oh do you! I thought that was was cute as well. So many t-shirts, so few days on which to wear them! If only cons were every week...

Modcloth gets them from Out of Print Clothing. So they are the same shirts.

It is very cute, and I like that it is super soft and lightweight (it's great for hot summer days). But a heads up for anyone thinking of ordering the women's tees, they are cut very curvy and with a deep v-neck. I am not shy about wearing shirts that show off the girls to advantage, but the neckline of this is deep enough that I have to be careful what bra I wear under it.

I haven't decided if I will pack it for worldcon or not. On one hand, it is a literature shirt in purple (con folk, myself including, do love purple, lol!). But on the other hand I am not sure about wearing it around any potential con creeper types.

Nice to hear its soft and lightweight. They did have that look to them in the pictures of people wearing them. Also I could tell from the pictures that the v-neck was not for me! Oh so modest as I am! But I ordered the men's shirt cut so I should be okay.

I'm going to bring the Wrinkle in Time one if I get it in time for the con. I'm so torn about what other shirts to bring. The temptation is to bring all GOT themed shirts but I have so many other book related shirts I never get to wear. So many t-shirts!

Btw I looked at the panel schedule and I think there is all of two panels I want to attend. I will have loads of free time to do yoga and model battle hats with you!
