We've got another awesome round of sub sub SUB zero temperatures starting today. I'm good to go with my coat because its good for -30 F and my boots are super warm. But my legs have been a little chilled unless I wear thermal underwear which is kind of annoying. But then I remembered my waterproof pants I have for hiking which fit over pants so

That YA book club sounds right up my alley!

It's through the Forever Young Adult website. They have bookclubs all around. There appear to be two in the NYC area so maybe one would work for you:

Well if you follow the link in my response above you will see that FYA is looking for members for a book club in your town. Doesn't mean they will get enough people or that anyone else has responded. But its better than no possibility. Of course this means reading YA novels but sometimes its just nice to find people to talk about books with.

Have you tried fleece-lined tights? Comfortable, not too thick, and they come in black.

Jury duty for a cocaine cartel trial does sound terrifying. Glad you escaped that in time!
