1. My sister got into the IB program at Coral Reef. Poor her.. =P

2. I am going to be doing architecture. I finally decided. So please please please come to UF and visit me over the summer! I will seriously need some fun to distract me from all of the work!

Great news on both ends!

Except, they're talking about adding 4 period school days to Reef. That's 8 classes total. Meaning IB may not be doable, or theyll make an exception for IB'ers. Ugh.

What? That is seriously really wierd. What is going on with that school???

And my mom just told me that it is now a requirement to go to a 2 week/3 hour per day summer school thing. And this is for every single student that's coming to coral reef. It is so they can get "aquainted" with the school. I seriously think that is the stupedest thing ever!

Ugh, that was an optional thing for freshman before. It's the most idiotic thing ever, a girl on my bus told me it was Highlighting 101. If anything that could make a sort of two part orientation where people from different academies actually have a sort of short discussion with each other over the basics in each of their strands. Like, IB could have a literature discussion, VPA could try their hand at a few of their specialties, etc.

All of the seniors and teachers here have been saying we're lucky to be getting out this year. I really hope they fix things before they get out of hand. It's a requirement to wear ID badges now, and if you're not wearing one it's an automatic Saturday school. They claim it's for security reasons, but the inconvenience outweighs any sort of minimal protection that they offer.
