i'm about to ask what sounds like (but hopefully isn't) an obvious question.
i wear soft disposable contact lenses.
i slept in them last night (yes, i know that's bad, not the issue at hand)
and...now one is gone.
did it...roll back in my head? fall out?
should i be worried enough to talk to my optometrist?

I think the chances of it slipping behind your eye to be very, very slim. I mean, otherwise you would get all kinds of warnings when you got them, and I don't remember anything like that from my contact wearing days. You might have rubbed it out in your sleep...

It's on your pillow - 99.2% chance. You'd probably know if it was somewhere it oughtn't. Or perhaps it went on vacation.
