I was just wondering down the road towards Hyde Park - it was such a gorgeous day, and so I was thankful for the patrol I'd been put on to replace some ill person. Such a coincidence that they were ill on the first decent day of the year. I wasn't concentrating like I was supposed to be, but it was too hazy for my mind to be thinking about criminals, deatheaters or...indeed, death.
That was until I heard what sounded like a riot coming from around the corner. I sped up and looked cautiously and saw that all this noise was coming from one man. Strange. Although, as I edged closer, it was one very drunk, angry man. Infact, as luck or fate would have it, it was one very drunk, angry wizard. On such a nice day as well.
I stepped towards him in a more assertive manner, with my wand out but down by my side, I didn't want to provoke him, and in his drunken state my reactions would easily be a lot quicker than his. "Excuse me, but I hope you realise that you aren't really abiding by wizarding law here."
I was in a little bubble of chaos, full of flying rubbish and showers of sparks which broke against the buildings defenses like fireworks. My mind was fogged and I was driven less by thought than by blind anger. How could they abandon me like this!
There was a noise. Funny...it sounded awfully like someone talking. In the back of my brain, something told me that this was really something I ought to investigate, especially considering I was in a war zone. After a few more seconds thought (during which I managed to fire a blasting spell at the building and throw a piece of bubble-wrap at it) I turned around unsteadily on my heels. The maneuver was supposed to be mildly aggressive and indeed, impressive, but all such intentions failed miserably when my drunken start rendered my balance unreliable and I fell back awkwardly onto my arse. "OW."
"Oh dear Lord." I looked up at the building he seemed to be attacking, I shouldn't really take my eyes off him, but I thought it was safe to break that rule in this instance. It was boarded up, and I couldn't quite read the sign that had been defaced, either by this man or someone else. It all looked pretty deserted and dilapadated. I wondered what this building had ever done to him.
Then I looked down. That face. It was Gilderoy Lockhart! Gildeory Lockhart was sitting on the street, completely plastered and very confused. This was not how I imagined our first meeting. Mind you, maybe the Victorian wardrobe and country park were a bit far fetched but...
How did I get down here? "No, actually, my day's been fantastic!" I answered the blurry figure above me, my voice slightly slurred but still dripping with sarcasm. I got, unsteadily to my feet and wandered back and forth across the road a little trying to find my balance again as it seemed to have wandered off. Just when I needed it too. "Are you making the ground rock?" I asked conversationally, squinting at the person who'd interrupted me. A young lady by the looks of things. Maybe if I talked to her for a bit she'd leave me alone and I could get back to my business. Even as I spoke, I looked up at the Fabulous Fabulas building again and, trying to seem casual, threw another hex at it.

Back to the street. "Hmm, had a bad day?"
