So, pretty soon my mom is having kidney surgery. I’m worried, but not so much about the actual surgery, more about the fact that the last time she was under anesthetics she ended up having a grand mal seizure. The surgery is pretty harsh. They have to make an incision on her side to put a scope through, the scope has a high powered laser attached ( Read more... )

They told us the found a "mass" on her ultrasound and CT scan. After sending her to a urologist, they found out it was kidney stone about the size of a walnut and it caused a pretty bad infection because it couldn't drain. So they put a stint in, goes into her kidney, bypasses the stone, goes into her bladder. They went up her bladder with a scope ( Read more... )
