Eh. It's always been legal to fire someone for being a fucking asshole.

And thank you, I did have a nice day. =]

yeah.. it was an asshole comment.. but it wasnt his intent.. it was just to make a dumb joke. I guess i should point out that im more mad at the hypocracy of this situation and our society as a whole of what can be said and who can say it.

It should also be pointed out that the FCC cannot and will not do shit. No matter how offensive it was, FCC cannot do anything. It's protected speech although it is offense. If I may qoute someone, "There is no right that says that Americans have the right to not be offended". Fuck knows where this is going.

What about firing someone during their fundraising event? The fundraising event that he has been doing for 18 years? The fundraiser that benefits children with terminal illnesses? They could fire him, but they coulda waited till he raised money for the kids. Are MSNBC/CBS against sick kids? I guess.

The Imus thing has been blown totally out of proportion. He said something ridiculous, he admitted it was a bad move on his part, he apologized, he was truely sorry for the horrible thing he said and it should have ended there. Freedom of speech is on the chopping block now. And soon they will be going after my boys on xm202. And then, I might cry. And I know you _matt_m will also be in tears. It will be terribly, I'm sorry.

seriously.. they say that they are trying to keep the "integrity" of the company by firing him. Which basically means that they abandon sick kids because they were loosing money from advertisers.. phonies.

xm 202 is next.. razzle dazzle.

Shit this conversation's been pretty good so far. I kinda feel bad I took up your offer. Maybe there's some way I could scratch that amendment back in ...

And as for group projects ... I have an entire class devoted to doing group projects. And yes, it is the worst thing ever. It kinda makes me wanna kill children, but it looks like MSNBC/CBS has already got me on that.

Hope everything is good with you, Matt. And thanks, April 12 was a pretty nice day for me. Lol.
