Really, I just want to go to a beach. A soft, warm, beach. Lay next to the water. Lay in the sand. Swim with no apparent goal. Maybe see how far out I can go, but not necessarily. Mister Bubble really is an icon of our youth and its simplisity. There is no existentialism in Mister Bubble. Camus wiped me out. Coffee is still delicious ( Read more... )

I haven't finished all of it, but, what I have read gave me some good chuckles, a firm sense of depravity and irony, as well as a general understanding of why people write him off for being a pedaler of vulgarity. I haven't given much thought to an over arching philosophical value in his writings, so I can't say there's any redemption to be found there. On the topic of shocking literature, have you ever read any Bataille?

yeeessss, i agree about the beach. im so desperate i bought blue crush at target for $5. BLUE CRUSH. pretty sad.
