i can totally understand where your coming from. every word u said, its like reading my own thoughts on the screen. i had a huge ass operation last week. what was your op for if u dont mind me poking my nose into your life.
i hope my operation fades like a distant memory. its not something i wanted, but i know it needed to be done. i think along the same lines as 'how does it affect who i am' type thing. its lots of food for thought.
take care.

i dont mind you asking im pretty open bout it, i think i may have told you bout it. i have a mild form of cervical cancer. it was one of those deals 'it wont kill you..but if we dont cut it out now it eventually will'
because its such a weird thing to go thru your mind cant process it as well as say- going to the shops, so hopefully for you the memory of it fades. i remember everything bout my recovery tho, it was painfull-
i dont know you well but i hope you get thru it all ok. =)

There's a famous instance used in a lot of psychological textbooks, where one woman's husband had so much of a sway over her, that when she came home one day and found him having sex with another woman on the couch, and she said "Why are you having sex with that woman on the couch," and he said "It's not a woman - it's a waterfall," she siad, "Oh - ok," and walked upstairs. It was only years later, in therapy, that she finally realised that he was actually having sex with a woman.

Another woman, always hated, I mean hated, her uncle, and never knew why. Later on (again in therapy) she discovered a memory she had repressed, in which the aforementioned uncled had sexually molested her.

Bianca thinks I have a repressed memory, but I don't agree.

if you can face your fear and conquer it then you will have overcome one of the biggest challenges a person can ever address. do you think that the mind can control the health and well being of the body?

i think there is a link. most people can will themselves not to get the flu for example, ive also known people who will themselves into getting sick. but i think there are some things that are stronger than our minds and we cant control them.

but if you believe that they are beyond you then you never will be able to control it.

maybe so, but even if i did believe i would never know if it was my will that controled my body, something more powerful or even just chance.
like is it ones mind that makes them sick in the first place?, or is it something else?
and now that they have become sick, will it be their mind thats going to cure them or will it be chance?
or a doctor... or voodoo =)
